One of my desires concerning giving is that you embrace this revelation and understanding. You know on last week, we gave out a lot of what we take in from week to week, and even with some of the gifts we wanted to give, we could not because I made it a stipulation that you would have to be a tither. And, we couldn’t even give what we had already set out to give to everyone, and someone said you didn’t say that. I went back over the entire service on last week and I have the footage of course, where I said it. Folks, all we have here to give is tither’s money. I mean we don’t have any other source of receiving to take care of the needs of ministry and the needs of the people of course, if people don’t have a revelation of giving.
DeeDee and I, we started this journey in 1985 together. Prior to her, I’ve been tithing for over 40 years, without missing one single dime out of every dollar that has touched these hands — NEVER. I got a revelation. I got an understanding of this covenant of wealth. It’s a covenant that I have with God. When I honor Him in this capacity, He honors me as well. There’s a lot of things that we have to do in order to get God to do. He said, “if you draw nigh onto me, I will draw nigh onto you”. He said, “when you give, you shall receive”. You activate the promises of God. Now some are electing to subscribe to an understanding and tithes and offering has been done away with. And, ladies and gentlemen, it hasn’t. Say this! Tithes and offering have not been done away with. It is not an old testament principle. It is an has never been just under the law. It predates the law. So, I asked on Wednesday and I want to see. What would 100% tithing look like in this house? I would just really love to see it, so I want you to determine what your tithe would be, if you were a tither, and give that today. How do you have cable and not tithe? How do you have that nice ride and not tithe? How do you have all the air that you breathe and not tithe?
DeeDee and I have wanted for nothing. We’re convinced, and people look at us and wonder how in the world is God bringing them out? How is my son shot and back home in seven days and doing extremely well? The tithe!!! It’s a covenant. How do they give me weeks to live and I’m standing here? It’s the covenant. And, just imagine if you’re doing good with your own strength, by your own might, imagine how much more you could do with your adding God’s super to your natural? And, that’s why I give so freely. So, here is my very humble appeal. If the first is blessed, then the rest will be blessed.
Pastor Dewayne: We want you all to participate in what Pastor Mike was talking about earlier about tithes and offering. On this morning, a friend of mine hit me and I want to say this to you guys. He said Dewayne, the things that you were expecting are already expecting you. And, when I read that God spoke to me and said, Dewayne I’ve already prepared something in this day, tomorrow, the day after… God’s already prearranged for you and I to have something. The things that you are expecting, they are already expecting your arrival. Now watch this. Satan doesn’t want you and I to experience what God has already prepared. And the only way he can stop you and I from receiving what He has already prepared, is to get you and I weary in well doing. If he doesn’t get you and I weary in well doing, we’re going to reap. And I remember this years ago God said don’t get distracted, because if you get distracted you’ll get weary, and if you get weary you’re going to faint and you’re not going to experience what He’s already prearranged for you to have. The D-O season always comes before the D-U-E season. It says, be not weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap if you faint not. So, the doing part comes before the due part, but when you do your part, you’ll do something and you should not get moved off of that until you wear it and experience it like God said. I don’t know about you but I’m expecting. You know why I’m expecting? Because I did something in 2022 and I expect that to show up in 2023. Come on let’s give God a good God bless you!
I wanted to share some things with you all concerning what’s going to transpire this year. The number thirty if you’ll check, according to the scripture, it represents or is symbolic of a settling, a maturity, a readiness, clear sight in where and what you ought to be. Any man should know precisely where he wants to go in life by age thirty. If you check the scripture, a lot of prophets and ministry gifts, specifically acknowledging the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, started at age thirty. And so, with a lot of consideration and inquiring of the Lord, I’ve been wondering what’s next for this ministry. I’ve been asking God what do I do from here. We have reached thirty and in reaching it, it has been without any financial or moral improprieties or there hasn’t been one mark or scandal upon this ministry name. And, I wasn’t quite sure about what’s been happening with Faith City. Now, you all should know that it’s not a bad position for a pastor to be in with he is in the position of not knowing something. As a matter of fact, ladies and gentlemen, he/she is in the best position that they could possibly be in, because when you don’t know something the hope should be that you would inquire of others. I have no greater hope, I have no greater knowledge than He, Him Holy Spirit. So, in my pursuit of going after Faith City, God has been brining to my attention that I’ve been raising Faith City for the last 30 years. Go to Matthew 5:14.
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
If you are the light of the world, what’s the subject matter here? A city that’s set upon a hill that cannot be hidden. Why would these two verses be connected? Who would be this light? Who would be this that set upon this lampstand?
Pastor Dewayne: I think that was excellent. That light and the city, they actually go together. While you were talking, I saw Faith City as the people. The thing that really jumped out was that we sit on a hill, we don’t hide under the bush. And, the only people that have to hide under the bush are the people that have to talk about their light instead of letting their light shine. But, we’re not talkers, we’re demonstrators. We’re going to demonstrate the word of God like never before.
This year is ordained. You know why? Because those who have been paying attention in 2022 and been acting on the word of God, I’m telling you, there are some things that are going to pop up in your life and it shouldn’t be a surprise to you. It should be something that you were expecting anyway because we are doers of the word and not just hearers only.
I was going to talk to you all today about the deception of a day. Just because we have crossed 12 o’clock and one second into what has been recorded as a new year, doesn’t automatically come with new things. And, I don’t want to decree a Happy New Year to you. I really would like to decree an Ordained New Year to you! Whatever God has ordained, your happiness is going to come out of your ordination. Ordained New Year to you!
