Discipleship in Reconciliation
Sunday, April 24, 2022 – RECAP/Study Points
I am not just teaching lessons I am building lives. I looked at the end of this year and it was my desire with the permission of the Holy Spirit to figure out where He needed you to be by the end of this year. God wants you positioned. You cannot be ready until you are positioned. It’s my duty to position you to get you prepared. One thing I’ve learned in life is that the difference between those who succeed in life versus those who fail in life is that those who succeed are prepared. Especially as it relates to storms of life. I am preparing you.
I want to create a righteous disturbance in your homes. I have been exploring the book of Acts and it bothers me that we do not see the moves and disturbances of the Holy Spirit that took place in the early church. I want the disturbances we see in Acts recreated in our homes; whereby when you speak to a devil, he knows he must obey you immediately. The minute we speak to any situation, that’s the minute it goes.
Some of you who are sitting at home need to be physically in the building. Consider being in the building…it will help you to realign, it’s a way of accountability, and it forces you into a relationship that keeps your awareness of your responsibility as a believer. Don’t allow the covid conveniences to make you slip into a level of comfort that will make you lazy. Being at home will sometimes make you watch the services as if it we a show and not engage as you would if you were in the building.
Pastor Dewayne: “As it relates to people staying home and viewing online if they don’t have to. I would share that marriage is the greatest picture or example that we have of Jesus, the church, and relationships. How do you stay away from this place if you really understood what it was all about? No one would do marriage online forever and again marriage is the closes thing to Christ, church, and relationships. That’s why God told us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves. There is something that takes place when we are assembled that does not happen when we are not assembled.” When we really get a revelation, it will change your mind and life forever.”

Dr. DeeDee shared something with me that I think is very important. Remember when I begin new lessons, I must lay a foundation to build properly and to make sure you get a full under.
Dr. DeeDee: “Understanding or the lack thereof will determine if you retain what you were taught.”
I am interested in your retention. I know what it takes for you to retain, and that’s repetition. Repetition is vitally important to your retention.
Dr. DeeDee: “It’s been proven that 50% of what we hear you forget in the first hour. It gets worst because you will only retain 70% of what you hear after a day.”
The bible speaks of 75%. Mark 4:20 speaks of the Word that was sown on good ground bring forth a harvest of thirty, sixty, and some a hundredfold. whether you retain it or not.
Dr. DeeDee: “If you think negatively, doubtful (pessimistically) about retaining something it will affect your retention.” Stop saying you don’t remember! The memory of the just is blessed! (Proverbs10:7)
Dr. DeeDee: “Also studies show that after a month, 90% of what you have learned, you have forgotten unless you read the notes, review the notes, and write your own notes. You must make things interesting to you to help you remember them.”
Pastor Dewayne: “James 1:22 says don’t be a hearer only but a doer of the Word. Also, when Ecclesiastes 5:1, talks about entering to learn… it’s like a force that’s telling us to pay attention and obey. There is something about doing the Word.
Once you hear it, get understanding and do it… it sends a message to your mind to say now retain that which you just did. That’s why God is hard on the hypocrite because he/she didn’t do what they said they were going to do, and it sent a message to their mind that they didn’t mean what they said because they did something different.”
I have been offsetting that for you with my notes. The best way for you to retain is to keep talking about it.
Ecclesiastes 5:1 (MSG)
- We are the house of God, not the church
- We enter to learn
- I want to teach you to the point where you do not have to call me (but you can if you need to)
- I want to get us to the point where we can say Jehovah has spoken
- Shout! I AM OF THE GOD CLASS!
Hebrews 5:12-13 (NLT)
- We are to be teaching others
- It should not be said among us that we are like babies that need milk
- We must let/allow Pastor to train us.
- Some have the skill but no wisdom on what to say and they ruin their increase
- What God has for me is for me and no one can take it away
Ephesians 4:11-12 (TPT)
- Apostles (thumb), Prophets (index finger), Evangelists (middle finger), Pastors (ring finger), and Teachers (baby finger)
- As a believer, we should be aware of our work of ministry.
- Our purpose is to know the ministry of reconciliation
- Don’t stay anywhere that you are not learning.
Romans 5:10 (TPT)
- You were reconciled before you knew you were (while you were enemies
- Reconciliation- to change mutually, to compound a difference, exchange coins for others of equivalent value, restore friendly relations between, make or show to be compatible,
- Pastor definition: reconciled is the ministry of change- We are change Agents
- The ability to change your heart
- Reconciled simply means change
Dr. DeeDee: “By the definition that Pastor has given you can understand that you have been changed. You’ve been taken out of darkness and placed into His marvelous light. Now it’s our job to go out and change others.”
Pastor Dewayne: “When you don’t see what God has finished, you will try to fix what God has finished. That’s when frustration set in and you faint; but when you see the finished work of God in what you are believing for, it births faith which causes you to have the substance and evidence; which brings forth the manifestation of what you were believing for… when it manifests you will give God’s name glory in the earth.”
When you release the Agape, it will give you the ability to transform an enemy into a friend.
Freely we have received…now let’s freely give!
