Discipleship in Being in Divine Alignment – Words
Sunday, July 2, 2023 – RECAP/Study Points
Happy July!
This month is symbolic of independence and liberty. I decree liberty in every area of your lives not only this month, but August, September, October…. Turn to your neighbor and say just make it for the rest of your lives. Seven is the number of completion and perfection. So, along with your having your stuff at liberty, it’s complete, it’s to the full, until it overflows.
Spirit of God has been sharing with me that the originators or OGs of anything should be able to become the shoulders that the next generation can stand on. And I don’t know why we generation down. I don’t know why we don’t generation up. You know ‘down through the generations’, where the next generations are considered down. I think we should start putting them up and then we become the foundation.
I saw the name, actually Spirit of Faith Christian Center, literally being lowered into the ground. Not to bury it, but to position it just right at the surface of the ground so that it will then become the foundation to Faith City Central. Your lives and what you have produced should be that which your next generation, up, should be able to stand on and build even higher and greater and wider and stronger.
Prov 13:22 – A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.
Pastor Dewayne: You know it’s amazing because a good man understands that the generations behind them are going to multiply what they modeled and messaged. That’s why we have to make sure that we are very careful about what we are modeling and messaging or that we are giving because what’s going to happen is that we are going to multiply. It’s not going to stay the same, it’s going to multiply and we’re going to have a big mess if you don’t really understand that somebody is always watching you. And so, we want to leave them an inheritance that they can stand on, and it’s not something that they have in their hand, first. It’s something that they have in their heart. And so, we have to make sure that we’re ministering to the hearts of the next generation and the generation after that so that this thing can perpetually keep going and multiplying the way that God designed it to be.
Now that is what is considered real wealth. You see, wealth is not exclusive to stuff, but it is inclusive to revelation that you have concerning who you are and whose you are. Shout ‘I’m rich’! That doesn’t mean I got a lot of stuff, but it does not exclude the stuff. But the wealth starts inside. Shout, ‘it’s an inside job’! That’s what I want to talk about briefly concerning tithes and offering. Just because someone has a bunch of zeros behind some other digits in the bank doesn’t mean they are rich; doesn’t mean they are wealthy. Because you can have stuff and be broke based upon the Bible’s definition. And there are a lot of people that are in those type of predicaments. Scriptural wealth is knowing what you have before you have it. And he who has, to him much more shall be given. I was rich long before any of the stuff showed up. People began to call me rich when they saw stuff, but it was the wealth that I had in me, that produced the stuff around me. But just because stuff showed up around me doesn’t mean that I’m wealthy. Because sinners have wealth. As a matter of fact, it’s laid up for me. But they are as broke as they can be. Because what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world and lose his soul. You’re broke if your soul is lost.
There are two particular scriptures that I want to highlight as it relates to normalizing wealth. So, here in 2 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul is addressing this church at Corinth and he’s talking about a posture of wealth, but he has some very interesting descriptions of this church at Corinth. Things that are so oxymoronic to what we would consider to be wealth and then he applauds their richness.
2 Cor 8:1-2 – Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: 2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality. 3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, 4 imploring us with much urgency [a]that we would receive the gift and the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5 And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.
Pastor Dewayne: You know it’s interesting because this verse number 5 helped me to see what was going on on the inside of them that produced the fruit that we saw in verses 1-3.
That’s the wealth I’m endeavoring to point out. Because verse 2 is so oxymoronic. How in the world could they have abundance of joy in great affliction? You see, most people who are not wealthily, when they don’t have the stuff, they have no joy. And you can tell how broke they are because when their needs are not met, they’re not happy at all. You can see where they are germane to life because it’s stuff that produces joy, when without stuff I still got joy!
Can you rejoice when your needs are not met? Can you still shout before the healing comes out? Can you dance in advance? You see, Christians are always proving the insufficiency of the biblical definition of wealth. Every time circumstances overtake them; they prove how broke they are.
Revelation 2:9 – I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not but are a synagogue of Satan.
Pastor Dewayne: And, just like Revelations chapter 2 verse 9, he said this, for I know your works, tribulation, and poverty, but you are rich. Somebody say, ‘l’m rich!’ He’s not talking about something that’s on the outside. He’s talking about something that’s on the inside. Because we’re not led by the outward. We’re led by He Him Holy Spirit that’s on the inside.
How do you mix tribulation and poverty, but you are rich. I submit to you ladies and gentlemen that it’s an inside job and inside jobs are more effective. The level of efficacy when you’ve got an inside man giving you a tip or a heads up on everything so that you can execute, it will cause then, what you are executing, to be more effective. Well, that’s what Jesus did. Jesus landed on the inside of you, and he began to perform who He is first inwardly.
What you see, on the outside of anyone, is the byproduct of what they have on the inside of them. Whatever is in their subconscious, whatever is in their thinking, is a byproduct of their lives of what they are producing. If you see a person never growing, well he’s dead on the inside. Life should always be producing the moreover for you. And it is in your coming here or at least subscribing and adhering to what you are hearing that’s going to make the difference in your life. Thank God you’re here, but it’s not enough for you to just be here. You’re going to have to walk away from here and become what you hear. And, not enough of us walk away from here and even give any attention to what we hear.
That’s why the scripture says, search the scriptures daily, so that when the enemy comes (because he’s coming for the Word’s sake), I promise you before you get home the enemy is going to try to snatch everything you’ve heard.
So then, there are people who give and don’t have it like others, and then there are people who have it better than others and don’t give. Who is wealthier? Because you have and there is no obedience attached to what you have. But you don’t have, and you attach obedience to it and the scripture says you have. You see, everything germane to scripture is diametrically opposed to that in the natural. And I promise you that if you get a hold of what I’m talking about today, you will revolutionize your life forever.
What we have to understand is this. There are two worlds coexisting at the same time. There is the invisible and there is the visible. There is the world of life, as well as the world of death. There is the world of the spirit and then there is the world of the natural. As a matter of fact, it would benefit you to know that life is more real in the invisible than the visible. The things that you see in the visible have already been established in the invisible.
Now, there is a way into the invisible that we access by faith and the laws and principles that govern these ways of accessing we must know because if I can get from the invisible arena that which produces life, then there’s a guarantee that I’ll have life in the natural arena. Some people who are of God, born of the Spirit, you are activating the arena in the invisible life that’s producing death because you don’t understand the principles that govern spirit life or spirit death. Both are spirits. There are a lot of believers that are accessing the spirit of death as believers. You are operating in the invisible, in the spirit of death. That’s why chaos, and disaster, and tribulation, and failure are being manifested in your life in the natural. Because that which happens in the natural first must happen in the supernatural.
John 6:63 – It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
*View video with Dr. DeeDee and grandkids discussing words
We live in a word activated world. So, the words that you speak are either going to be assisted by the spirit of death, darkness, evil, natural, flesh, or they are going to be powered by that which is spirit, light, life and the supernatural. Your momma used to tell you that your mouth is going to get you in trouble. And yet, even as believers, we don’t understand the power of our words and the activation of worlds with the words of our mouth. We live in a word ruled world. The words that we speak are those which creates things for us or against us. How you use word may be free, but it can cost you. The lies that they told us as kids that sticks and stones…. but words, words will kill you. With this very soft tissue called the tongue in your mouth, it breaks hearts, it destroys kingdoms. Because you don’t understand, as believers, the power and functionality of your words, so you haul off and say anything.
What troubles me the most are believers that are emotionally unstable because it is in your emotion ignorance that you say things, based upon how you feel, now you’ve activated words that will work against you. Nobody makes you mad and to even release words like that, you release authority to people to keep getting you offended and upset because you choose.
Words are containers carrying images and spirits. They are pictures packed with power to produce and pass down. When you speak words, you have to also see pictures and images and spirits being released from your mouth. If you saw pictures of death and a spirit of death with words like you’re going to be just like your no- good father, like we can barely get ends to meet, like I’m on a fixed income, like every time I get something, something comes up. If you could see caskets being carried in your direction to carry that situation out in your life, then I think you would use your words far better than you are. It’s the mismanagement of your understanding concerning words that’s keeping you from excelling the way you should be in life. And it’s been your own mouth that has held you hostage or prisoner to what God said was already yours. The man went to hell so that you could be free. The scripture John 8:32, and you should know the truth…
Pastor Dewayne: Words are so powerful. You need to look at what’s inside of the container, because inside of every word there is a harvest, and you should get a glimpse of the harvest and make a decision on whether you should sow this, carry this or release this, because like Dr. DeeDee said (in the video) once you release it, you cannot get it back.
So, every time you release words that are not consistent with the spirit and life you either release a lie or you release truth. Ladies and gentlemen, what I’ve discovered in life is that there are voices of facts and there are voices of truth. And most believers yield to the voices of facts. The doctors have been saying all kinds of things about my health and my lungs and all kinds of things. And I’ve heard their voices, but I bury voices of facts, with the voice of truth.
Pastor Dewayne: You also said that words carry images and experiences, they are pictures, and they are packed full of power that can be passed down. And so, if you get a revelation of that, what you will actually do is count the cost of the words that you speak. I like Mat 12:37 in the Message version – Words can be your salvation or words can also be your damnation. You’ve got to determine, and you will live at the address of your words. And I don’t want you to say that I didn’t mean that because in that spirit arena they don’t understand that. They operate by laws.
In Exodus 3:5 and 5:6 it says do not let your mouth cause your flesh to sin, nor say before the messenger that it was an error. Because every time you speak a word out of your mouth there is an unseen arena and there are angels that are moving at the voice of your word to make sure things come to pass, and when you open up fear filled words, there are demonic spirits that are released to fulfill that, and you can’t say oh, I didn’t mean that. Your words are violating the laws of God and you’ve got to get a revelation of it.
Some people are caught in a word trap, and you don’t even know it. That’s a sad thing and the spirit of the living God is trying to get you to a place where you sit yourself down, open up your heart, and open up your ears to hear the spirit of the living God so God can help you discover your destiny. Because your destiny is locked up in God’s words and if you don’t get a hold of God’s word, you will never discover your destiny, and you’ll go around in life trying to figure out why am I here and what am I supposed to do, and God has already decided all of that and He put it in His word. Because words are the most powerful thing in the world and if you’re going to change anything, you’re going to change it by the words of your mouth.
Shout I always win! Losing is not for me. I’m always above. Beneath is for somebody else. I’m always on top. That’s where I’m going. That’s where I live, on top of things.
Words have the authority to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humble or to humiliate. In Genesis chapter one, you’ll notice that in order for God to create the world, he opened his mouth. And then verse 26 says, let us create man in our likeness and after our own image. Like He spoke His world into existence, you’re going to have to speak your world into existence, and if what you want you don’t see, then go ahead and create it. You can create the world you want with the words of your mouth.
