So, annually I invite you to be dismissed; I don’t know of any other pastor in this whole world that does this. I want you away from me and connected to someone you know you can honor. Yeah, I really do, or else you are just wasting Earth’s space. We could have more oxygen in the earth, especially in this room, if you didn’t use all of it up with breathing threats and frustration. You know it takes more air to be frustrated?
Okay, so now, because this may be my last Sunday this year with you all because I am supposed to be on vacation. Know that I am going to tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and I’m finding myself becoming more firm. I may have to step to you about some things, and you ought to embrace correction, especially when it’s designed to provide the come-up for you. And, if you ever have an encounter with me as such, just turn back and look at me and say thank you for loving me because the scripture says he corrects the ones he loves.
We can sit back and become so envious of others. You want what they got. And I’m going to talk about that a little bit, this spirit of envy. Envy is a diabolical force. It is a very hideous spirit that creates and carries a vibe that’s designed to deteriorate your heart, and I’m going to show you in the scripture, where the Bible says, ‘where envy is present, so will every evil work be there. God was telling me that people don’t hate you, Mike. You’re going around talking about all these haters. Quite frankly, some of them are, but not all of them, and everybody who’s saying negative things about you aren’t haters. They don’t hate you; they just envy you, and envying someone is worse than hating them.
I’m going to teach that because we’re about to turn the corner into a new year, and annually I give an altar call for people to depart from the ministry because you shouldn’t have to come in here week after week and be frustrated by me. Equally so, I shouldn’t have to come in here and be frustrated by you. You said God led you here, and quite frankly, I’m going to tell you the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. There are some people who can’t handle the truth. Well, I’m not backing down because you don’t like my correction. I’m not backing down. I’m not just going to say stuff that you like. I’m gonna say some stuff that will piss you off. Yeah, but it’s in love.
I’m so ready to see this city that’s set upon a hill. God says you are the light of the world. Why isn’t your light infiltrating the world? Why isn’t your light infiltrating your home and your community? I’m going to show you why you are the salt of the earth. And, if the salt loses its flavor, what good is it other than to be cast out and trampled under the feet of men? Turn to your neighbor and say you’re not even going to see me; you’re going to taste me this year. Oh, taste and see! Hallelujah!
Look at Psalm 91. I was first introduced to this back in 1983 by my spiritual mom at the time. Apostle Betty Peebles taught me this particular scripture, this entire Psalm, and she called it “The Believer’s Insurance Policy,” and you ought to be acquainted with this.
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall [c]bear you up, Lest you [d]dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [e]set him on high because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With [f]long life, I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
(Regarding Josh) We pray for those young men that the mercy of God will be upon them. Because if you live by the gun, you will die by the gun, and in this culture here in Baltimore, there in DC, they’re being trained to live like animals and are having firearms as a part of their daily attire. I mean, they have access to firearms at 11 years of age, and some of these videos that they watch should be somehow banned. Ladies and gentlemen, the reason why I tell you to get away from me and go find someone you can honor is because a part of the demise that we have in our society is from the demise of the demonstration of honor in the home. When your sons and daughters are not taught to honor you, you’re teaching them to dishonor everything else in society. I don’t know where y’all come off not making your children say yes sir and yes ma’am and no ma’am and no sir.
I mean, that was a required response in my parents’ home. Some people allow your children to call you by your first name, and they can say whatever they want to say, and there’s no correction, and some of you got the audacity to laugh at their ignorance. The worst and best thing that can ever happen to a child is when that doctor takes that child into his or her hand and place that child into another set of hands because all of our hands are connected to our hearts, and if your hearts are not directly connected to the heart of God, then that child won’t ever experience God.
You’re going to have to be able to do some things. Are you becoming an accessory or an accomplice to the outcome of that child? Know that you’re going to have to stand before God, just as I, as your Pastor, have to stand before God and give an account of you; you’re going to have to stand before God and give an account of your children.
The first Sunday of the New Year, which is New Year’s Day, I’m going to start off with Agape and Honor again. I am going to do that because that is this ministry’s assignment, and I’m building a people here that will reflect the love of Jesus in the world, Amen!

I saw something that Will Smith said, and it just really kind of blessed my life.
He said there’s an evolution that’s growing more concerning love. I know that to be prophetic. I don’t even know anything about Will Smith’s relationship with Jesus.
I heard a great phrase, but when I tell you, if you don’t get on this Agape and Honor, you’re going to be left miserably behind as it relates to the manifestation and the divine transactions that are going to take place in the Earth from heaven. Because only those who understand this will be able to participate in the next part. You cannot participate in these Divine transactions if your heart ever becomes closed to another individual. Work on not closing your heart to another human. With the hell that people can present to you, betray you, turn their backs on you, let you down…
He said it’s like living in hell with an open heart. Well, didn’t Jesus do that? He came down from heaven, and some of you have closed your hearts to people because of what they have done to you, even believers who have hurt you. Peter had an engagement with Jesus at one time. ‘Now tell me, Jesus, how often shall I forgive my brother, seven times depending on the magnitude of the offense?’ Jesus replies to Peter and says No, Pete, Quite Contrary, my friend, but seven times seventy in a day.
So, they offend you 490 times in one day, and you keep your heart open to them.
I ain’t gonna keep letting people trample over me and hurt me. That isn’t what the inference here is, and he means it’s from the bottom of his heart. No, listen to me.
I live an offense-free lifestyle and what I’m discovering more and more is that people really don’t hate Mike Freeman, they envy Mike Freeman, but they don’t know. Some of them know some of them don’t even know how diabolical that spirit is.
Jesus left his heavenly habitat to come to earth. It was the equivalent of leaving Heaven going right into Hell, and they lied on him, and they spit on him, and they beat him. They tried to kill him on many occasions. Show me one place in the scripture where he was ever done with any human. You show me that scripture, and I promise you I’ll rip it out, matter fact, the entire chapter and eat it without salt and pepper or Mumbo Sauce. I promise you, and because we are his replacement in the earth, we’re going to have to figure out who Holy Spirit is and how we can open our hearts. Like the cats who shot my son, I’m nowhere near offense about them. As a matter of fact, I grieved for them. Pray for them. Retaliation belongs to God because what if he came after you about everything you’ve committed? No, we’ve got to grow up to this place, and because this is my assignment, this is what I’ll be charging you to become in the company of your peers.
And so, I’m saying to you; you may not be big enough to handle this charge. You may want to go and be a part of another assignment. But there’s none that’s greater than this assignment, and this assignment is going to bring Bishops to their knees. It’s going to bring Apostles to their knees. It’s going to bring Prophets to their knees, and they’re going to have to repent before God and get their lives together, or they will not be qualified to minister to people any longer because he’s not slack concerning his promise. Y’all, the only reason why we have the delay of the coming of Jesus is simply because he loves people that much who have not accepted him, and the last thing he would want to see is your loved one’s names blotted out of The Book of Life. So, you’ve been hurt; you’ve been wounded; you’ve been talked about; you’ve been left; you’ve been kicked to the curb; now what are you gonna do?
James 3:16
For where envy and self-seeking exists, confusion and every evil thing are there. You open the door to envy; you just opened the door to every evil thing. Think of it. Rape, murder, molestation, you think about it. The exception when you open the door of envy, you open the door to every evil work, and I know that Psalms 23 and people got it twisted about thou prepare the table before me in the presence of my enemy. You think because it’s been taught that your enemy has an opportunity to see what God does for you or did for you. No, he wanted your enemy at your table so you can entreat them and cause them to become friends. We’ve been seeing it the wrong way. If he can get your enemy around you, he knows with his love that’s in you; he can bless them. And you don’t want to be around your enemy. You just want your enemies to see how well you are doing in spite of their envying and jealousy, but he invited you when you were an enemy of his to sit with him and prepared a table for you, and you sat at that table, and his love entreated you to the place where you’ve become his friend. I dare you to open your heart in hell and pray for your enemies today. Pray for them, bless them, speak well of them, and God will bring them back into your life.
I’ll close with saying one of my favorite statements from the late great honorable Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He said love is the only force that has the power to transform an enemy into a friend. I love you all so much. You’ve got the goods.
You can do this! You’re bigger than what you’re allowing yourself to live out. You’re bigger than this. Say… I’m bigger than the way I’ve been living! You are bigger than the way you’ve been living; I promise you are. You’re smarter; you’re wiser; you’re richer; you’re fulfilled.
